Office Chair Gas Cylinder Removal Tool Pneumatic Spring Spindle Separator Repair The tool designed to fit standard 28mm (1.1″) diameter gas springs This is a unique office chair gas cylinder removal tool will assist in the separation / removal of the gas cylinder spring spindle from the mechanism / control / Seat plate. The design is intended to transfer the shock wave generated from the hammer strikes close to where the the 2 parts meet. How to use: (review photos 3,4 and 5) Tip the chair upside down and remove the clip from bottom end of pneumatic cylinder. slide 5 star base along with column out exposing the Gas Spring Spindle. Slide this tool onto the Gas Spring until it rests on the Seat Plate. Using a hammer, strike tool instead of the seat plate. After a few strikes, the shock wave generated by the hammer strikes will dislodge the Gas Spring Spindle from the Seat plate / Mechanism without leaving any marks on the Seat Plate. WARNING: YOU WILL BE STRIKING METAL ON METAL. SPARKS AND OR METAL CHIPS MAY FLY IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS. MAKE SURE TO USE EYE WEAR. ALSO, MAKE SURE NO ONE IS IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA. ALSO, ITEM IS MACHINE MADE AND MAY HAVE SOME SHARP EDGES. BE CAREFULL WHEN HANDLING.
